Doctors Love the Convenience of Secure Remote Internet Access from Home or the Office

"Our doctors – and we have hundreds of them -- love NetAccess. It was easy to implement here at the hospital and just as easy for the doctors to download the application, self-install, and use over their standard dial-up connection."

Within a few minutes they could be reviewing patient records from their offices or homes, signing reports, or authorizing tests without having to drive into the hospital when it’s not necessary. That means they can allocate their time more effectively."

"Most important, with 128-bit encrypted communications between the office and the hospital, along with device-specific authentication, we all have the end-to-end security needed to protect patient confidentiality.

NetSupport, furthermore, allowed us to replace long distance charges for online MEDITECH support with Internet-based communications. That dropped our monthly phone costs from $1000 a month to $100 a month. It's a really nice savings that pays for itself over and over again."

Simple Solutions, Superior Support

"We just went with Interbit Data's NetAccess, NetFax, and Windows Desktop Faxing products. What a dream to set up! These guys know MEDITECH inside and out, so they even helped us set up the dictionary entries. As with any software product, good support is half the battle. The guys at Interbit have been quick to return calls and more than happy to help us troubleshoot the few issues we had during installation. Lastly, I think their fax product is considerably cheaper than Forward Advantage. We, too, tend to stick to the MEDITECH-recommended solutions, but this one time, we made an exception, and I'm glad we did!"

NetSolutions has significantly increased report distribution capabilities

"Faxing from within MEDITECH using the FAXBOX product was not only slow and problematic, but also very expensive. We were looking for a solution to simplify report distribution as well save time and money. NetSolutions family of products has enabled us to achieve this and push through a great many more reports than before we had the products in place."

NetDelivery with the Distribution Wizard option is invaluable

NetDelivery with the Distribution Wizard option is our primary investment with Interbit Data. The product efficiently captures lab results as well as departmental reports and then sends them to the provider's EMR systems as PDF Files. This has become an invaluable tool for Cape Cod Healthcare. In the rare occasion that we are faced with a technical problem, Interbit Data is always readily available for technical support and efficiently resolves the issue.

Creative Products, Flexible Vendor

"Interbit Data has been a very flexible vendor. They are always open to new ideas and have been able to apply their software and/or develop enhancements to meet all of our needs for automated, reliable faxing from MEDITECH. Their products' open architecture allows us to integrate and interact with other technologies such as email, integration engines, etc.

Plus, their active participation in the MUSE and HIMSS conferences also affords customers the opportunity for dialogue to sustain relationships and facilitate awareness of new product development and organizational strategies."

NetDelivery with Integration Wizard - Simple Physician Office Integration

"Interbit Data's NetDelivery Integration Module has allowed Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Washington, to provide an HL7 feed into their physician’s EMR systems. This simple solution has eliminated any need for custom interface programming from MEDITECH and utilizes standard MEDITECH Laboratory reports. In return, we have eliminated the need to send hardcopy Laboratory reports daily to the offices, eliminated delay of receiving results via normal printing/faxing process and now provide immediate access to valuable Lab data from Good Samaritan Hospital to the physicians. This solution also allows the physicians to be able to view and compare similar results within their own EMR systems for their patients."

NetFax - Simple Setup and Easy to Use

"We have had an extremely positive experience with NetFax, the FAXBOX replacement we ordered from Interbit Data. Set up was relatively easy, it runs with little or no monitoring and manual intervention and Interbit Data is quick to respond when we have had an issue or question. I would highly recommend their products and company. We are currently in the process of adding their remote access product, NetAccess."

Finding New Uses of NetPrint to Reduce Costs and Increase Revenue

Finding new uses of the NetSolutions products comes easy to some customers. At Mercy Regional Health Center in Kansas, they have discovered two new uses of NetPrint.

"We use NetPrint to send text pages to our housekeepers upon patient discharge. As soon as the nurse discharges a patient, our OA messaging sends a message to the NetPrint server, which then transfers the message using FTP to a file folder. That folder is watched by a scripting program called "Automate" that automatically sends a text page to the correct housekeeper when the message is received. We have 8 different pagers, based on room assignments. This whole process takes less than 45 seconds from discharge to page. This has sped up our turn around time on rooms, hence an increase in revenue."

"The second new use for NetPrint is for notifying Pharmacy personnel about potential errors. We have also developed a second use for NetPrint. We automate problem notification from our Nursing staff to Pharmacy personnel. If a drug has been ordered or entered in error, instead of calling the pharmacy, we have them "print" a copy of the drug order along with a 25 character explanation of the mistake out of MEDITECH to a spool file. This spool file is then transferred via FTP to the same server as above that is watched by Automate, and e-mailed to the pharmacists for backup. The message is also added to a helpdesk task manager database. This has decreased the amount of time between mistakes and changes in the Pharmacy. Before, a particular pharmacist or technician had to answer the phone, write down the change, and get it made. Now, any of the Pharmacy personnel can pick the changes off the helpdesk task manager, and accurately fill the prescription. This automated process has increased the efficiency in our Pharmacy."

MEDITECH system is easily accessed with Interbit Data products

We were looking for an easy secure system to remotely access our MEDITECH system without using Modem pools. We have NetDelivery (formerly NetPrint), NetAccess and NetFax in place and have been extremely pleased with the products and have accomplished the goals we had set. War Memorial now has remote access to our MEDITECH system from the Internet along with report printing and faxing distribution to remote offices. Client side setup is easy and users do not need any computer experience to install the system. Interbit Data knows MEDITECH and understands how it works. Basically, I told Interbit Data I am a MEDITECH MAGIC SITE, and they knew exactly what can and cannot be done to implement it.
