Interbit Data signs 38 New Customers;
First Quarter Results Show Exceptional Growth in New Sales
Natick, MA – April 21, 2004 – Interbit Data, a leading provider of secure and reliable access to information in the MEDITECH® Hospital Information System, announces today that they have signed 38 new customers in the first quarter of 2004. Demand for its data access and distribution products rose significantly, driving a 48 percent increase in sales over the same quarter in 2003.
"Hospitals continue to expand their operations outside their traditional walls, extending operations to remote clinics, physicians' offices, or external staff," says Arthur Young, president of Interbit Data. "The challenge for these hospitals is to provide access to the MEDITECH system patient information in a secure, convenient, and cost-effective manner. Our NetSolutions products are designed to provide HIPAA-compliant access and distribution of information across the Internet."
This trend has led to an increase in sales of the NetSolutions products. These 38 new clients include a cross section of major hospitals, community hospitals, and medical centers such as West Houston Medical Center, Johnson Memorial Hospital in Indiana, Clinch Valley Medical Center in Virginia, Arlington Memorial Hospital in Texas, Westside Regional Medical Center in Florida, Riverside Community Hospital in California, and Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
The NetSolutions product line enables clients to send information securely in various formats, such as fax, print, email, or as a file transfer. These products help healthcare providers connect doctors, staff, and technical support to the data needed for their day-to-day operations. All NetSolutions products conform to the HIPAA-compliance regulations.
